I am a third-year PhD student in the Curriculum, Instruction and Teacher Education and the Measurement and Quantitative Methods programs in the College of Education. I have been working on the Interactions project with Joe Krajcik for 3 years. My role in the project is writing the curriculum and assessment for the curriculum as well as classroom observation of the curriculum implementation. My background is in Chemistry: I hold BS and MS degrees in Chemistry from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. My research project is focused on developing and validating three-dimensional learning progression on the Interactions curriculum. I am using mixed methods approach combining interview analysis and IRT analysis of written tests to construct and validate the progression.
