The Automated Analysis of Constructed Response research group is beginning a new project with Dr. Joe Krajcik at Michigan State University and Dr. Leonora Kaldaras at the University of Colorado-Boulder.  The collaboration has received funding from the Discovery Research PreK-12 (DRK-12) program at the National Science Foundation (Award #2200757).  This new project will build on existing research in automatic scoring of text responses done by the AACR group and three-dimensional learning progressions in high school physical sciences to develop an assessment system and automatic feedback integrated with a curriculum.  These tools will be used to support student learning of electrical forces in the Interactions curriculum with real-time feedback on formative assessment items.
