Cell membrane: Flip
Experiments on the fluidity of phospholipid membranes show that individual molecules of phospholipid are in constant lateral movement within the membrane, however they almost never flip from one side of the membrane to the other.
Explain these findings using your knowledge of the structure and properties of phospholipids.
