Recent paper from Nehm's group highlighted

A recent research article published from Ross Nehm's group at SUNY-Stony Brook is highlighted by the journal New Republic. Nehm's group assessed students’ understanding of key concepts in evolution using using various methods: multiple-choice questions, human-scored written responses, computer-scored written responses, and clinical interviews. Click here for the news story:  The same research article was highlighted in "Editors' Choice" in the November 29, 2013 issue of Science.   (subscription required) Ross Nehm has developed EvoGrader (, a website that performs automated analysis of student responses to evolution questions, and is a PI on the collaborative AACR TUES 3 grant.   Information about the full research paper is available here:
